Are you a New Jersey resident with an RV or motorhome that has become more of a burden than a pleasure? Many people find themselves in this situation—perhaps the family adventures have slowed down, or the maintenance costs have become burdensome. Donating your RV can turn your unused vehicle into a significant benefit for others while providing you with valuable tax deductions. At Revive the Ride, we make the donation process straightforward and rewarding.
Whether you own a classic Class A motorhome or a cozy pop-up camper, your contribution can help revitalize the lives of those in need. From the beach to the mountains, RV trips create lifelong memories, and your donation keeps that spirit alive by helping fund community programs. Many of our donors come from the Garden State, where scenic landscapes and outdoor adventures are cherished, making your RV donation even more impactful.

How pickup works
At Revive the Ride, we understand the unique logistics involved in RV donations. Our expert team coordinates the pickup of your recreational vehicle using specialized RV-transport flatbeds or drive-away services. Depending on your situation, we often handle pickups at storage lots or RV parks, ensuring seamless coordination either with you or the facility. Please note that vehicle height and length are crucial for routing, as most states require a maximum clearance of 13'6”. Our team will guide you through the process, making it as hassle-free as possible.
What drives donation value
The value of your RV or motorhome donation is influenced by several key factors. The condition of essential house-systems—such as the roof, slides, plumbing, and AC units—plays a more significant role in determining value than the drivetrain. Water damage significantly reduces a vehicle’s worth, while recent maintenance records can enhance it. Timing also affects value; spring auctions often yield the highest prices. If you’re considering donating a classic model, be prepared for an appraisal, as IRS Form 8283 Section B requires a qualified appraiser for tax deduction purposes.
Documentation you need
- Vehicle title (proof of ownership)
- MSO (Manufacturer's Statement of Origin) for off-road-focused vehicles
- Service records to demonstrate maintenance history
- Appraisal for classic vehicles (IRS Form 8283 Section B)
- Notice of sale or bill of sale, if applicable
New Jersey specifics
In New Jersey, the process of donating an RV or motorhome is straightforward, but it’s essential to be aware of local DMV rules. Vehicles must be titled in your name for a valid donation. New Jersey does allow for title transfers via bill of sale under certain conditions, but a clean title is preferred for a smooth process. We help navigate these legal requirements, ensuring your donation is compliant and beneficial for both you and the community.
